A Place Called Forever - Entire Site

Hi, This is a great page! I surfed in by accident.... I can't even remember who linked me here. But I was moved to tears by your beautiful poetry..... it looks like the two of you have found what every man and woman are looking for. Well, I just had to tell you how much I loved this site..... and how much it made me wish that I had a love like the two of you have! Take care and blessings for you both!

"The Bridge"

Fantastic! I like the "more awake" refrain, and the paradoxes ("To the hope in my fear") are very effective.

I thought this was beautiful. The language has a lyrical sound, very nice.

Yo, my man, that hit me in the heart. I was definitely feeling that. Keep the Groove.

Oh so beautiful, God to find a love like that... you are incredibly blessed with a great love. The poem was so passionate, and descriptive. Loved it, great job.

"A Place We Can Go"

I feel like Alice in a sensual version of "Alice in Wonderland"...I don't think there is anything that can be said, that hasn't already been. I am on my feet in thunderous applause!

I doubt very seriously if I have ever read a more beautiful poem. Before I saw the signature I was thinking, "only a woman could express this amount of sensitivity." I'm glad to see the signature on this one. I want you, plead with you, to join us on our website. E-mail me for the link. Thank you for this beautiful piece, it is absolutely flawless in every respect.

A beautiful utopian poem...the last line is perfect! Read it twice.

I dreamed a dream of a wondrous place,
Known only by love bonded souls.
A place called Forever
found deep in our hearts,
Where only two lovers can go.

I love that verse. You sure you're male?!? :o) I think it's wonderful, and truly touching. Let me know if she doesn't want to go with you. :o)

Fantastic writing Alan your imagery is great. If heaven can be described, you have done a decent rendition.

This is beautiful , much lovely and lyrical imagery here, too much to cite one or two. I don't usually like longer poems, but this one's beauty held me to the end.

Warmly written with a taste of unusual, I liked it!!! But remember you create your own reality, you choose to view it in in the way that you do, and ya know you might just get it.

I love the lines, "where the mid-day sun melts walls of stone to reveal hidden gardens" Vibrant images, excellent presentation.

Am seeing "Love as it was meant to be", hey, can I borrow your dream, the whole length of it? You be full of adjective, images, and metaphors...good things, poetry I mean, ;o} abound from you! At first I thought that only a she-male could have written this beautiful, lovely poem, but soon I found the ever signing hand of a man-'soothing savage beasts'-that sounded manly but that's great, too, because you ended that line with what I felt to be mutual Sensual Joy and I find no fault there, none at all...this dream is a like a whim come true, `tis idyllic, too idyllic, sigh*, but thanks for taking me there nonetheless for I did enjoy your dream, your poem, I mean! ;o) KUDOS to ya!

This is very much like the Beatles "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds." But it does have some nice images and flows well. In this idyllic place with all its bucolic pastoral joy I feel violated by the lines:

"Where harmony abounds in ivory notes
carried softly on the winds of change,
soothing savage beasts
whose old hungers are sated
by bountiful feasts of sensual joy."

As if the hunters and rapists of the world are rewarded. This is very much a man's poem for all its trappings of golden wings and lavender fields (forever). Well crafted and with some striking metaphors and thoughts.

I loved the imagery of this poem...I am an adjective lover and got swept away with all the images. I enjoyed the momentary diversion from day-to-day living

"Waves" and "Tides"

I very much enjoyed the two different styles combined into one piece. It speaks to the heart of the reader and offers up two distinct views of a love shared...

Of course I do find the whole poem interesting, how wonderful to be able to share the love of poetry, and the art of writing it. This a piece of poetry you will share, and enjoy forever. Great job!

The first poem really captured me with its vivid picture. You truly explained how your feelings are shown within this piece. Very few love poems ever reach the level yours did. Thank you for sharing.

These are two wonderful poems by two people we can tell are very much in love with each other and we can tell this is a new and beautiful new love they are sharing. Great images here! Both of you are great writers and seem to get your messages across with smooth glow and imagery. Congratulations.

Incredibly rich and romantic...two different styles combined as one perfect match. Style and form in each is as it should be...I see you found a keeper both on paper, and in reality. Good Job!
